Meade Co. Marr Bk A


Know all men by these present that we Joseph John FRANS & Anthony LITSEY  are 
held & firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the just & full sum of 
fifty pounds United State Currency which payment well & truly to be made & done 
we bind ourselves our heirs & jointly severally & firmly by these presents 
sealed with our seals & dated this 8th day of November 1824

The Condition of the above obligation is such that if there should be no legal 
Cause to obstruct a marriage shortly to be solemnized between the above bound 
John FRANS & Miss Mariah LITSEY for which a license this day issued then the 
above obligation to be void else to remain in full force & virtue in law
