A native of Magoffin County, he was a son of the late John and Ann Howard Williams and a member of the Slate Creek Church of God. Survivors include a son, Clyde Williams, Frenchburg; four daughters, Mrs. Dessie King, Frenchburg; Mrs. Tessie Sargent, Mrs. Clayton Sparks and Mrs. Charlie Sons, all of Means; a brother, Clint Williams, Means; a sister, Mrs. Carrie Becraft, Frenchburg; 32 grandchildren, 59 great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren. Services were conducted by Rev. Ernest Martin Saturday afternoon at the Eastin- Richey and Taul Funeral home. Burial was in the Williams Cemetery in Menifee County.
