To the worshipful Court of Mercer County greetings:

The petition & memoriel of the subscribers humbly sheweth.  That a road of
great service & publick utility can be got to danville by leaving the County
road that comes from Washington by David Halls on Deep criek. To Harrodsburgh
& crossing Chaplain Fork at a special good ford at Saml Flournoys & thence
along the nearest & best way to intersect the road from Carey's Mill to
Harlins on the salt river.

The prayer of your petitioners is that you would grant us a review for sd road
which distance is only about three miles.  That we may claim your patronage
your petitioners shall ever pray &cc
