This Indenture made this 4th day of March 1809 between George Finly of the County of Wayne and State of Kentucky of the one part and William Gains of Mercer County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that said George Finly for and in consideration of the sum of five shillings to him in hand paid by the said William Gains the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge and for the affection which I the said George have for my wife Mary Finly do by these presents transfer and make over to the said William Gains in trust for the use of the said Mary Finly her heirs forever the following property (viz) one bay mare four beds and the furniture and all the other property which the said Mary hath received from him said George Finley and all she hath now in possession to the only proper use and behoof of her the said Mary Finly and to her heirs forever. To have and to hold the said property to him the said William Gains in trust for the use of the said Mary Finly and to her heirs forever and he the said George Finly for himself and heirs, Exors and Admrs do by these presents warrant and defend the said property aforesaid, to the said William Gains for the use aforesaid against himself his heirs Exors or Admrs and against the claim of all persons whatsoever. In witness whereof he the said George Finley hath hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and year aforesaid.
