FAMILY HISTORY: WILLIAM AND ALSEY REYNOLDS/RUNNOLDS-Mercer Co. KY ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Contributed by Judy Cassidy Tue, 11 Apr 2000 KY-FOOTSTEPS-D Digest V00 #158 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- William and Alsey Reynolds moved to Mercer Co Ky from Laurens Co, S.C. after 1810. They lived in the Gilberts Creek area which became Anderson Co after 1825. However William died in Mercer in 1822, his inventory dated March 22, 1822, Book 7 pg 62. Alsey moved to Parke Co, Indiana with her children after 1830 and probably died there. Their children were: Jane who married William Robertson from S.C. in Mercer April 7, 1817; they moved to Fountain Co, IN; Alsey b. 1789 married Isaac Darland, son of Lambert Darland (see separate entry) December 1, 1818 Mercer Co Marriages, he died in Parke Co, IN, she died in Poweshiek Co, Iowa Feb. 25, 1872; Rebecca (Carter, widow) b. May 4, 1799 Laurens Co, SC. married Abraham Darland (brother of Isaac) December 8, 1819 Mercer Co, Ky, they moved to Parke Co, Indiana after 1825, He died there in 1852, she re-married a Charles Ruble and moved to Poweshiek Co, Iowa where she died June 1, 1873; William Reynolds born in SC married Margaret Abbott of S.C. January 2, 1821 Mercer Co, KY, and remained in Anderson Co, KY; Elizabeth married a James Robertson, lived in Mercer Co and then moved to Fountain Co, Indiana; Mary Ann m. May 6, 1822 Mercer Co, Ky to John Abbott of S.C. moved from Anderson to Parke Co, Indiana, James Robert married Sarah and lived in Fountain Co, Indiana.
