Carson of 1807 West End Ave, Nashville, Tenn (no date) "This is the only Alsop that I can find from Va. Samuel Alsop (William Alsop) William of Spotsylvania Co., Va. ..residence of Samuel Alsop after the ARW was Drysdale Parish, Caroline Co., Va. Approx date of death of Sam -1803. Do not know the name of Samuel's widow. William married Sarah Jones. The names are all I have and a gun carried in 1776 by my Gr Gr Grandfather and in my Grand Father's Possession".
