Was born in Prince Edward Co., Va. where he resided when he was called into service. Several times taken prisioner by the Tories escaped each time..served 3 years in Georgia 2 years in the service of South Carolina..he knows of no one except Benjamin Warford by whom I can prove my service as there are no persons I know of from Georgia who live in Kentucky I am too old to search after them. Affiant 1: Benjamin Woodford Benjamin Warford: Testifies in Anderson Co., Ky..that he is an old ARW soldier..am well aquainted with Henry Deshazer, ARW soldier. I knew him in SC in 1779. We were both then young in the same company.
