DEMOTT, PETER: Bounty Land Warrant: 36503-160-55 New Jersey. States he was born 
in Somerset Co., NJ where he resided when first called into service until he 
removed to Ky about the year 1788 settled in Mercer Co.

Spouse: Mary Terhune
Sp. Age: 70
Sp. Ap. Date: 05 Sep 1848
Mary Terhune: She is the widow of Peter Demott, Dec'd he died 15 oct 1832. They 
married 19 Dec 1796. A copy of the bond is filed the bond was dated 14 Dec 1796 
Lawrnece Demott was the bondsman.

Affiant 1: Daniel Coovert
Daniel Coovert: Along with Cornelius Vanarsdall they make a join deposition. 
Both are aged ARW soldiers. Sd Vanarsdall was a Lieut in the company in which 
Demott served. We lived in the same neighborhood.

Affiant 1: Benjamin Woodford
Benjamin Warford: Testifies in Anderson Co., Ky..that he is an old ARW 
soldier..am well aquainted with Henry Deshazer, ARW soldier. I knew him in SC in 
1779. We were both then young in the same company.
