Charles Kirkland: States he is well aquainted with John Kirland, although I am 
too young to recollect the scenes of the Revolution, yet I have often heard him 
describe them. I recollect to have seen a paper of Lieutenant John Kirkland .. 
discharge papers when he returned from the army.

Ebenezer Carey: Resident Citizen of Mercer Co., Ky..well aquainted with John 
Kirkland, Sr.
