Entered the ARW in Jul of 1780.. at sometime he resided in Charlotte Court House Amherst Co., Va. until 1812 when I removed to Mercer Co., Ky. He still suffers from injuries of the War of 1812, as testified by two doctors in Harrodsburg. Spouse: BLOOM, SARAH Sp. Age: ?? They entered service together..were part of the army that captured Cornwallis. Affiant 2: Davis, James James Davis: 28 Aug 1875..James Davis makes an affidavit in Livingston Co., Mo whose address is Chillicothe, Mo...he is a grandson of George Nicholas Phillips, ARW soldier, who came with the French Army with Gen. Lafayette remained in America. George Nicholas Phillips m Sarah Bloom. The mother father of George N. Phillips were dead before he left France, he died 18 Jul 1834 in Floyd Co., Ind, age 77. George Sarah had only one child, America Phillips who married William Davis they were the parents of this deponent 3 others. The old soldier was a stone mason by trade at one time he lived in Rockbridge Co., Va. His widow died in 1870, in Putnam Co., Mo.
