Don Benningfield. She died June 25 at Stanford House nursing home. Born Sept. 11, 1908, in St. Francis, Minn., she was the daughter of the late Rasmus and Elna Johnson. She was retired from the former Belks Furniture Store and was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and Pioneer Burgin Homemakers Club. She was the widow of Frank S. Black. Survivors include two daughters, Madrene Black Houy of Harrodsburg and Joan Hoyt of Homer, Alaska; a son, John Black of W.Va.; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Memorials may go to Centenary United Methodist Church.
