For some time she had been in failing health, but was confined by the fatal attack only ten days prior to the final summons. She was sixty-seven years of age, and had spent her long, useful and successful life in Harrodsburg, having removed form Madison county, when quite a child with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Paterson. She secured a liberal education and at eighteen, January 27, 1847, was married to Mr. W. T. Curry, of this place. It was a happy and prsperous family. In April 1882, Mr. Curry died and since that time Mrs. Curry has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. C. M. Dedman, dying on the seventy-third anniversary of her husband’s birth. Before her marriage, she united with the Presbyterian church and for more than half a century, was a faithful and devoted member, and as daughter, wife and mother she was faithful, affectionate and loving. As friend and neighbor she was kind and forbearing, and it may in truth be said she was beloved by all that knew her. She leaves four sons, Messrs. John H., Geo. Alfred, William T., and Robert P. Curry and one daughter, Mrs. Mary Dedman, all residents of this place, except Mr. G. A. Curry, who recently moved to Louisville. The funeral will take place this forenoon at 10 o’clock at her late residence, conducted by Drs. W. O. Goodloe and J. G. Hunter and the interment will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
