From the Danville Advocate Messenger, 30 June 2002 HARRODSBURG -- Charles E. Cox, 65, of Harrodsburg died Wednesday at Rockcastle Respiratory Care Center in Mount Vernon. Born Aug. 23, 1936, in Gas City, Ind., he was the son of the late Herschel T. and Maggie L. King Cox. He was a retired equipment operator for International Harvester. Survivors include a son, Jerry Cox of Miami, Fla.; three daughters, Betty Smock, Tracy Hume and Linda Tarter, all of Harrodsburg; a brother, Harley T. Cox of Valejo, Calif.; two sisters, Bonnie Burns and Barbara Krull, both of Columbia City, Ind., and four grandchildren. Services will be 3 p.m. today at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by the Rev. James Harley. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Smock, Mike Tarter, Scott Tarter, Scott Robertson, Larry Parker and Eddie Snyder.
