------------------------------------------------------------ OBIT: Elizabeth DAVIS, 2002, Mercer Co. & OH ------------------------------------------------------------ From the Danville Advocate Messenger, 17 Mar 2002 HARRODSBURG -- Elizabeth Davis, 94, of Wooster, Ohio, formerly of Harrodsburg, died Saturday at Westview Manor in Wooster. Born Sept. 21, 1907 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Thomas V. and Lula Nichols Warner. She was a retired teacher from Rose Hill and Harrodsburg schools. She was a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, a member of the Kentucky and the National Retired Teacher's Associations, and a member of the Christian Church. She served as an elder of First Christian Church of Venice, Fla. for many years. Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Dilzell of Wooster; a son, William M. Davis of Tulsa, Okla.; three sisters, Virginia Baker of Lexington, Annell Claunch of Harrodsburg, and Agnes Adkinson of Fort Myers, Fla.; a brother, Stuart Warner of Harrodsburg; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, McKinley Davis. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Don Chase. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday. Memorials may go to Harrodsburg Christian Church.
