Submitted by:Sherri Hall 11/14/2003 From the Danville Advocate Messenger, 21 July 2002 Ruby Mae Ford Smith, 64, of Loudon Avenue, Lexington, formerly of Danville, died Friday at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. Born Jan. 1, 1938, in Taylor County, she was the daughter of the late John Frank and Audrey Ford. She was a homemaker and attended Bethel Baptist Church. She was a member of the church choir and had attended Bate High School. Survivors include her husband, William Smith; two daughters, Sherry L. Smith and Katrine Young of Lexington; four brothers, Ottis Ford of Turnersville, Gerald Ford of Dayton, Ohio, and Cecil and Walter Ford, both of Danville; a sister, Opal Johnson of Danville; and three grandsons. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Danville by the Revs. Richard Hill and Ronald L. Burns. Burial will be in Hilldale Cemetery.
