A family circle hitherto unbroken has been invaded by the Great Reaper and a loving, indulgent mother has been taken to a home not made with hands eternal in the heavens. As her husband and children watched her breathe her last, falling to sleep as gently as a little child, they almost imagined they could see her angelic spirit take its flight from the earthly tabernacle to the bosom of Him who doeth all things well. She told them that she did not fear to die, wanted them to prepare to meet her, where partings never came. May the reunion of the family “over there” be complete, and around the great white Throne in Heaven may their praises ascend forever more. Sympathizing neighbors and friends were with them night and day, and their kindness will never be forgotten. She joined the Christian church when sixteen years of age, and was a most devoted member. The funeral sermon by Rev. A. P. Jones was comforting, and the singing led by Miss Mary King was beautiful. God in His infinite mercy spared her to live a long life of usefulness, ere He uttered the sentence “well done thou good and faithful servant.”: When He called she was ready, as she had lived ever trusting, she died triumphant, in His love.
