From the Danville Advocate Messenger, 16 Dec 02 HARRODSBURG -- James H. Burns, 71, of Salvisa died Saturday at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. Born July 24, 1931, in Salvisa, he was the son of the late Roy and Ruth Best Burns. He was a minister for Mount Zion Methodist Church in Washington County and a retired state government information systems employee. He was a member of Claylick Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Helena Burns of Salvisa; a daughter, Faith Burns of Washington, D.C.; and a son, David Burns of Frankfort. Services will be 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Lowell Langfield, Don McKinney and Bobby Logue. Burial will be in Hebron Cemetery, Lawrenceburg. Pallbearers will be Leon Burns, John Wimsatt, Paul Terrell, Glenn Bugg, Jimmie Cocanougher, W.D. Cocanougher Jr., Todd Thompson and Gary Best. Visitation is after 2 p.m. today and after 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.
