"Mrs. Mary Alley, 75, (ca 1902), Hopewell, VA. died 9 January. Native of
Edmonton, daughter of late Mr. and Mrs. Underwood Shirley. Survived by Husband,
E. W. Alley; three sisters, Mrs. Delsie McMahan and Mrs. Mattie Pearl Moore,
Owensboro and Mrs Bessie Botts, Cynthia; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Ruth Shirley and
several nieces and nephews at Edmonton."
