He had been ill a month of a heart ailment. He was a retired farmer. He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Chester Badgett, Tuscon, Ariz; Mrs. Homer Skaggs, Bell, Cal; Mrs Sherman Douglas, Hardyville; Mrs Ralph McCandless, Center, and Mrs. Rondal McDonald, Louisville, and two sons, Chester Irwin, Center and Gilbert Irwin, Louisville. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. (C.T.S.) Thursday at Pleasant Valley Cumberland Presbyterian Church; burial, Cosby Cemtery, Hart County. The body is at Buter Funeral Home here. ===================== NOT SURE THE NAME OF THE PAPER – but it was the Metcalfe County Paper in Edmonton. John Emmett Leslie Irwin was born on 29 Dec 1877 and died on 22 May 1957. He was the son of James Alexander & Aleatha Margaret (Houk) Irwin. He married #1 Florence Jeffries and had two daughters, Carrie Belle and Ethel. After his first wife died of TB, he later married #2 Daisy Dean London in 1910 with whom he had 6 children, Robert (died as an infant), Gilbert, Ruby, Bernice, Cora Alice and Chester. He is my grandfather.
