Obit: Mr. J.C. Mackey May 1896 Metcalfe County Obituaries ======================================= Glasgow (KY) Weekly Times, 20 May 1896. "Mr. J. C. Mackey died at his home in New Randolph, Metcalfe county, Wednesday night last, after a lingering illness of consumption. Mr. Mackey was seventy years old at the time of his death. He was a most excellent man and citizen, and enjoyed the confidence and esteem of all who knew him for the honorable and upright life he lived. He leaves a wife and several children, among them Mr. A. B. Mackey of Hackett City, Ark., Mrs. Jas. Shockly of Graves county, Ky., and Mrs. J. W. Duff and Mrs. E. W. Duff, of the Hiseville country. The other children reside in Metcalfe county.
