Co. E., 13th Regiment Kentucky Inf. Volunteers is hereby discharged
the service, to date from the twenty-seventh day of June 1864, to
enable him to accept a Commifsion then tendered him by the Governor of
Kentucky, and since when he has been acting in the capacity of a
Commifsioned Officer.

Sir:
I Elijah F. Tucker have the honor to make application for discharge as
an enlisted man in the 13th Regt-Ky. Vols. Inf.- commanded by Lieut.
(crossed out) Col. (inserted) B. P. Estes (crossed out) Wm. E. Hobrow
(inserted) to enable me to accept a commission as 1st Lieut. of
Company G of Said Regiment.
I was enrolled as an enlisted man in Company E., 13th Regiment-Ky.
Vols. Inf.- by Capt. Thos. O. Moore Sept 25th 1861 and mustered into
the Service of the United States as an enlisted man December 31st 1861
by L. M. Kellogg, U.S.A.
I was last mustered mustered for pay as an enlisted man (inserted)
April 30th 1864 and last paid to include the 29th day of February 1864
by Maj. Naines, as 1st Sergt.
I was commissioned as 1st Lieut. by the Governor of the State of
Kentucky, the date of my commission being June 1st 1864 and received
and accepted by me on the 28th day of June 1864.  I entered upon duty
as such June 1st 1864 by virtue of Said commission a vacancy in Said
grade existing in Company G, Same Regiment
