Minutes for 1874:

Jan - John PATTERSON preached. T B NEAL hired as Sexton for
        $25 a year. Excluded Rivis SIMMONS for intoxication etal.
        James TURNER to be visited by Joel JONES & R L LANDRUM
        for non-attendance. Joseph HALE to be seen for same reason
        by James GRIDER & Wm RIGGS.

Feb - Same minister. Joseph HALE's case continued.

Mar - J A REGISTER preached. HALE not there, continued.

Apr - R A BELK preached. HALE case continued. Letter of
        dismission granted Bro J W GARMON. Fanny MURPHY
        excluded for joining the Campbellites. Almarine HARP 
        excluded for profane language.

May - John PATTERSON preached. Recvd by letter Prudence
         MURPHEY from Skaggs Creek church. Joseph HALE
         excluded for refusing to attend.

Jun - Wm FLOWERS preached. D E DOWNING, H S EVANS
        and J M NEAL appt delegates to association and in case
        one can't go - Ellis RIGGS.

Jul - R A BELK preached. At this meeting beloved pastor John
       PATTERSON resigned due to bad health & other duties to
       his family - thanked him for 6 1/2 years of service, resolution
       of respect to be posted.

Aug - no minutes.

Sep - John PATTERSON preached however. Recvd W A TURNER
         and wife Anny TURNER by letter from Harmony Church.
         Pledges taken for funds for the church. Those pledging were:
         J M NEAL, Ellis RIGGS, W P NEAL, R L LANDRUM, I N
         TURNER, D N JOHNSON, D E DOWNING, J A GOODALL,
         J W DOSEY, M C FRAIM, T BE NEAL, G W SHIVE,
         E A PERCEL, W A TURNER, W F NEAL, Jessey LAYNE,
         C C CARTER, Smith JONES, W B DOWNING, Thomas
         FRASURE, Harlin ENGLAND, Flippin CURBY, Elisha
         ENGLAND, J T DOWNING, Benj NEAL, J H NEAL.

Oct - C C CARTER preached. Received William ENGLAND from
        Bethel Church or Origon [sic] City, MO and Bro J D WEST
        by recantation. The following were dismissed by letter: J D
        WEST, Haner and Jane NEAL (black). J D WEST died in
        1879 added in the notes.

Nov - H S EVANS preached. Letters of dismission granted to:
        Elisha ENGLAND, James GRIDER & wife July.

Dec - H S EVANS preached. Recvd by letter Bro C C CARTER,
        and wife Evaline from Cape Hill Church in Barren Co. 
        Carter received as a licenater [sic]. Letters of dismission
        granted Z WHEELER & wife Susan. Hired R L LANDRUM
        and M C FRAIM as a committee to employ a sexton
        and to pay this year's sexton. Following pledged for
        missionary purposes: J W DOSEY, J M NEAL, M C FRAIM,
       C C CARTER, W JORDAN, Benj NEAL, R L LANDRUM, I L
       DALTON, W P DOWNING, E F JORDAN, T BE NEAL, W F
       NEAL, J H MEADOW.
