Pension Record Maryland, S30523
Appeared 2 Oct 1832, age 70. Born Frederick Co VA Apr 1752; enlisted in 
Charles Co MD 1777. Prior to war had lived in Frederick Co MD, White Co TN and 
KY. Since the war, lived in Monroe Co KY. Richard MACEY {MAXEY} gave oath that 
he knew the soldier during the years 1776 to 1817.

Widow was Martha Kidwell who applied for widow's pension in Monroe Co 3 June 
1833, age 81. Stated she and Matthew married in Charles Co MD 21 May 1778; 
there was a certified copy of their marriage.
