Students performing: John McCREARY, Hoyd SIMS, David WALDEN, Martha BOYLES, Eva RICH, Ruth ___(blank). 7 yr old girl operated on - d/o N. G. LEE who is manager of the Lee Stave Mills in the eastern part of the couty. Girl was attacked by the flu several weeks ago, now has infection of lung. Tube installed to drain; girl staying at a hotel here while healing; she from Nashville. Terry HAMMER from Meshack moving his family to T'ville. Methodist Missionary Society held meeting at home of Mrs. Elner McCREARY. Those participating: Maggie EVANS (prayer), Miss Eddie GEARLD (topic discussion); Mrs T K CHISM (benediction). Mother's Club meeting 26 Apr. Hostess: Mrs Wick HARLAN. Mrs. Bernice SWANN discussed why we observe Decoration Day. Mrs. Hugh T RICHARDSON discussed when it became a holiday. W C TOOLEY announces sale on 27th Apr of home and property four miles north of T'ville. Being sold are household and kitchen furniture, telephones, call bells, incubators, brooders an some farming tools. Mrs Flora EVANS and Mrs Lizzie EVANS note: "To Our Debtors: Keep in mind the warning we gave you in The News in regard to a settlement of old accounts and notes due us. If you don't come in and settle, then don't feel hurt at us if a Collector calls on you or serves notice on you." Hestand News: Stork visited home of Mrs. Luther BAILEY the 11th and left them a fine baby. Mr and Mrs Bob MORGAN were the guests of Mr and Mrs Charlie GROGAN. Jim T and O D SPEAR and Miss Viola SPEAR of Hestand and Clarence SHORT of Blythe visited Mrs Vera HAMMER in T'ville Sunday. B H EVANS of T'ville is selling a 500 gallon Galvanized Pressure Tank, 1 1/2 horse power and one pump jack. Dr DUNCAN of T'ville is moving his office from the Deposit Bank on Main Street to his smoke-house on the east side of Magnolia St opposite the Methodist Church. N G LEE selling 6 new boiler tubes that are 3 1/2 x 14 feet. Society: Clarence EVANS spent last weekend with friends in Nashville. Mrs C T KIDWELL of Louisville guest of the family of her mother, Mrs R V EVANS. Ben JONES of Burkesville attending court her last week. Mesdames Marie MILLER, Annie PICKERELL and Gladys CARTER were seen shopping in T'ville Saturday. George WHITE of Persimon was in town a few hours Thursday. He is not in right good health and was here advising with physicians. Mrs R V EVANS & Miss Evelyn EVANS were in Louisville last week. She bought a line of Ladies' furnishings for Evans Dry Goods Co.Jack MOODY, Dave MOODY, Truman HOLLINSWORTH, Cornell HAGAN and Wilber CHISM attending a baseball game in Louisville last Sat. Urie PROFFITT of T'ville was a pitcher in the game. Mr and Mrs N B BRYANT of Scottsville and Mr and Mrs B C Latimer of Glasgow were guests of Dr and Mrs BRYANT here a few hours Sunday afternoon.
