Shirley Indenture: David Badger to William Nelson: Montgomery County KY Date: 31 August 1810 Deed Book 5 Page 347, 348 This Indenture made this 31st day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ten between David Badger and Elizabeth his wife of the County of Montgomery and Commonwealth of Kentucky of the one part and William Nelson of the county and commonwealth aforesaid of the other part, Witnesseth that the said Badger and Elizabeth his wife in consideration of the sum of one Dollar lawful money of the United States to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted bargained and sold to the said William Nelson a certain parcel of land lying in the County of Montgomery aforesaid on the waters of Grassylick Creek it being part of a Treasury warrant Patent originally granted to William Higgins and conveyed from said Higgins to David Hathaway from Hathaway to said Badger containing fifty acres more or less and bounded as follows towit, Begining at a white thorn tree corner to one Farrows line thence South seventy eight and a half degrees West ninety four poles to a white oak and live hickory on Thaddius Doolings line thence with his line North twenty degrees West one hundred and forty nine poles to a locust stake thence East one hundred and three poles to two honey locust trees live hickories and a ?haw hee?
