Daniel 4 Feb 1998 Montgomery County, KY Deed Book 14 pp 437-438 Whereas I held a mortgage on certain slaves the property of Lamack Davis in consequence of being his security in a writ of error in the care of him self against Robert Hall, I do hereby release said mortgage and have received full satisfaction from said Davis of all debts and demands up to the present time. December 9th 1829 Amos Davis attest ? W. Brooking This indenture made and entered into this ninth day of December 1829 by and between Lodowick Davis of the one part and Amos Davis of the other part.Witnefseth the said Lodwick Davis for and in consideration of the sum of two Hundred and fifty dollars to him in hand paid, to be paid in cash notes hath bargained and sold and by these presents doth bargain and convey, alian and confer unto the said Amos Davis all his right, title and intrest of and to his said undivided interest in the real estate of Jeremiah Davis Decd. and the Dower right of Susannah Davis Decd. Of the lands and lotts lying in the town of Mt. Sterling and the land adjacent thereto inlcuding the tract now occupied by John T. Mason in Montgomery County by virtue of a lease and said tract being the same Susannah Davis resided on at the time of her death which being all the intrest which the said Lodwick Davis is entitled to of the real estate of said Jeremiah Davis decd and Susannah Davis decd as one of the heirs and legal representatives. To have and to hold the whole of said undivided intrest with all the improvements and appertinances thereunto belonging to the said Amos Davis and his heirs and afsigns forever and the said Lodwick Davis will forever warant and make good the same agt himself and all persons claiming under him but agt no other person or claims whatever. He selling by way of quit claim with warnty as aforesaid and if the said land should be lost in any whatever. The said Amos Davis has the full benefit which might fall to him in consequence of all recourses on all persons whatever. In witnefs whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and date above.

Lodwick Davis seal State of Kentucky Montgomery County } Clerks office Dec 10th 1829 Micajah Harrison Clerk of the court for the county aforesaid do certify that this deed from Lodwick Davis to Amos Davis was this day produced to me in said office as acknowledged by the said Lodwick Davis to be his act and deed hand & seal for the purposes therein named in here upon the same has been duly recorded.
