All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ky/kyfiles.html ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Marvin Allen http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00032.html#0007973 February 15, 2015, 11:24 am Tulbeard & Hinkston Creeks Written: February 28, 1825 Recorded: February 28, 1825 Pages 436-437 This indenture made and entered into this twenty eight day of February in the year 1825 between James Fletcher and William Fletcher of the first part and John Fletcher of the second part all of the County of Montgomery and State of Kentucky witnesseth that whereas their deceased ancestor William Fletcher by his Last Will and Testament bequeathed two tracts of land patented to him, one containing two hundred acres, the other two hundred and nineteen acres lying and being on the waters of Tulbeard and the waters of Hinkston in the County and State aforesaid into his four sons John, James, Robert and Williams and the said John and William having brought out the said Roberts part. John, James and William having come to a division of all of said land bequeathed as aforesaid therefore in consideration of the foregoing premises and for the further consideration*of one dollar by the said John in hand paid into the said James and William which they acknowledge they have granted sold and relinquished and do by these presents convey and forever relinquish unto the said John Fletcher his heirs and assigns forever the tract or parcel of land following to wit: Beginning at forked Buckeye on the line of the 200 acres survey and corner to Robert Garrett thence N 48 W one hundred *nd eight poles to a red oak corner to said Garrett line S 73 W fifty four poles and eight tenths to another line of said 200 acres survey and corner to John Molly thence with the line of said survey N 47 W to a sugar tree on said line corner to James Fletcher, thence N forty one and a half deg E one hundred poles to a stake on a branch another corner to said James Fletcher thence N thirteen deg E forty one poles to a black ash another corner to said Fletcher thence North thirty nine deg w and hundred and fourteen poles to a stake in the line of William Fletcher 219 acres survey thence with the line of said survey N forty three deg E twenty poles to a sugar tree and hickory corner to said 219 acres survey thence S seventy two E eighty seven poles to a stake in the line of William Wilkerson thence S twenty three E one hundred and twenty four poles to a stake corner to said Wilkerson thence North seventy nine E one hundred and three poles to a stake corner to said Wilkerson in the road thence S turn E one hundred and twelve poles and five tenth to a stake on the line of John Harper and corner to said Wilkerson thence withsaid Harpers line S forty two w thirty two poles and five tenths to a stake corner to said Harper thence S 49 E two poles to a red oak stump corner to the aforesaid two hundred acres survey thenoe with the line of said survey S 42 W eighty nine poles to the beginning to have and to hold the above bounded tract or parcel of land unto the said John Fletcher his heirs and assigned forever together with the appurtenance thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining to it and the aforesaid James Fletcher and William Fletcher do hereby relinquish all their right title and interest in the above tract unto the said John Fletcher his heirs and assigns forever free and against from the claims of their heirs and all persons claiming from 17 through them but from nor against no other person or persons claims or claim whatever it being clearly understood that this is a Quit Claim Deed of relinquishment and this said John Fletcher clearly - (?) himself content with the same. In testimoney whereof the aforesaid James Fletcher and William have hereunto let their hands and affixed their respective seals the day and the year first above mentioned.
