Shirley Partial Indenture of Bargain and Sale: James & Sally McKee to James Willoughby Date: 7th March 1825 Deed Book 12 Page 9 (the remainder of this should be found on page 8, and possibly even 7) …. his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land situate and being in the county of Montgomery, on the waters of Lulbegrud: being a part of 1400 acres that was patented in the name of Alexander Bruce, and bounded as follows, towit, beginning at a hickory and Mulberry on a branch, thence east 88 poles to a Sugar tree, corner in James Whittsett's line, thence south 5 degrees West 88 poles to a hickory on Whitsett's branch, thence west 66 poles to a boxelder and ash, thence up the branch with the meanders thereof 96 poles to the Beginning; containing forty three acres and ninety four poles more or less: together with all the premises thereunto belonging or in any way appurtaining to have and to hold the land hereby conveyed, with the appurtinances, unto the said James Willoughby his heirs and assigns forever. And the Said James McKee and Sally McKee his wife for themselves their heirs executors and administrators as hereby warrant and defend the said land unto the said James Willaughby his heirs & c. for ever, by way of a quit claim-that is against the claim or claims of themselves or any person or persons claiming by through or under them; but they will not warrant and defend the land against the claim or claims of any other person or persons whatever: In testimony whereof the said James McKee & C. hath hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals this day and year first above written.
