You may find obvious misspellings which I may or may not have noted by "sic", as I just sometimes found too many. And, within the same document, you may find different spellings for the same name which I made no attempt to discern which was the correct spelling. Shirley This Indenture made and entered into this this 1st day of March 1855 by and between John V Moore and Phebe A Moore his wife of the County of Montgomery and state of Kentucky of the first part, and William Moore of the County and state aforesaid of the second part, Witnesseth: That the parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred and twenty three dollars & 83 1/3 cents, this day settled by notes, and Five hundred and twenty three dollars & 83 1/3 cents secured to be poid the 4th day of March 1856, Five hundred & twenty three dollars & 83 1/3 cents secured to be paid the first day of March 1857, and Five hundred & twenty three dollars & 83 1/3 cents secured to be paid the first day of March 1858, by notes this day acconted for the above payments; hath this day grandted bargained and sold, and by these presents do grant bargain sell and convey unto the said William Moore their undivided third in a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in this county & state aforesaid on the waters of Aarons Run creek, its being the same tract of land that the said John V & William Moore bought of Sandie Barnard of which the said John V Moore owns 1/3, and for boundary to the same reference is had to the deed made by said Barnard to the said Moores, which is recorded in the Montgomery County Courts Clerks office, in Deed book No 24, page 472. To have and to hold the aforenamed one third of said tract of land, together with all and singular the improvements and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining unto him the said William Moore his heirs and assigns forever. And the said john V Moore & Phebe A Moore his wife, do covenant and agree that they will warrant and defend the right and title to the land hereby conveyed. As witness whereof they have hereunto set, their hands and seals the day and date above written.
