Shirley Indenture: John V Moore, et al, to James W Mitchell Date: 8 March 1866 Deed Book 28 Page 571 Attorney in Fact = Power of Attorney This Indenture made and entered into this 8th day of March 1866, by and between William Hofson and Louisa J Hofson his wife, John Hester and Polly Ann Hester his wife, Useba Adair wife of John R Adair by their attorney in fact John V Moore, of the county of Bourbon & state of Kentucky, parties of the first part and James W Mitchell of the county of Montgomery, and state aforesaid a party of the second part. Witnesseth: That the said parties of the first part by their said attorney in fact, the said John V Moore, for and in consideration of the sum of Fifty dollars per acre for the land herein after described to them in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged by the parties of the first part have granted, bargained and sold and by these presents, do grant bargain sell and convey unto the said James W Mitchell all their and each of their present and prospective undivided right title and interest in and to a certain tract of parcel of land, situate lying, and being in the counties of Montgomery & Bourbon and state aforesaid on the waters of Plum Lick and is a part of the same tract of land on which John Moore Sr now lives. The whole tract of land in which the undivided interests of the parties of the first part is hereby conveyed contains 65 acres 2 roods & 34 poles of land. It is the whole undivided interest of the parties of the first part both present and prospective in and to said land that is hereby conveyed to the said james W Mitchell, and said land is bounded as follows: Beginning at a stone corner to James F Wilson, thence S 46 ¾ E 9 51/100 poles to a stone in a line of said Wilson thence S 45 degrees 18' W 87 34/100 poles to a stone corner to walker Moore thence S 36 ¼ E 92 42/100 near a dead Mulberry, corner to same, thence S 36 ¾ W 47 94/100 poles to a stone corner to John Moberley thence N 56 ¾ W 74 28/100 poles to a stone in the road corner to said Moberley, thence along said road N 44 ¾ E 6 1/10 poles to a stone in said road thece N 34 ¾ W 43 6/10 poles to a stone corner to said Moberley, thence N 21 ¾ W 53 poles to a stone corner to same, thence N 65 ¼ E 41 46/100 poles to a white oak thence S 53 ¼ E 31 45/100 poles to a red oak thence N 51 ¾ E 84 52/100 poles to the beginning. To have and to hold said undivided interest in and to the land above described to him the said James W Mitchell his heirs and assigns forever, with covenant of ?genirut? warranty.
