Shirley Indenture: William & Angeline Moore to John Green : Montgomery County KY Date: 6 September 1852 Deed Book 24 Page 356, 357 This Indenture made and entered into this 6th day of September 1852, between William Moore of the one part, and, John Green of the other part, both of the County of Montgomery and State of Kentucky Witnesseth: That the said William Moore, for and in consideration of the sum of Six Hundred and forty five Dollars, due and payable on the 8th day of September 1853: and Six Hundred and forty five Dollars, due and payable on the 8th day of September 1854, evidenced by note granted and delivered- has sold unto the said John Green, and by these presence does sell and Convey unto him a part of his farm, lying in Montgomery County and State of Kentucky in the fork of Grassy lick and Aaron's Run Creeks, and the part hereby conveyed is bounded as follows: Beginning at a set stone in John Mitchells line, a corner made for Caywood and Green, thence S 52 degrees 49' E 64 3/10 poles to a set stone on the east bank of Grassylick Corner to John Mitchell and John H Mitchells heirs, thence 88 degrees 18" E 75 8/10 poles to a set stone corner to said Mitchell, heirs, thence N 21 W 21 7/10 poles to a stone Corner to Susan A Mitchells dower, thence N 57 5/8 N 63 3/10 poles to a stone near a walnut stump Corner to John Wilson, thence N 23, N 52 poles to the middle of Grassylick Creek, thence south the Creek N 15 W 11 1/10 poles to a point in the Creek, a corner made for H Caywood and John Green, thence leaving the Creek S 83 N 34 poles to a stone a corner made for said Caywood and Greene, thence S 10 degrees 10' W 67 1/10 poles poles to the Beginning: Including forty four acres, and twenty nine poles of land: Out of the above boundary thereis excepted about three quarters of an acre of land, the precise quantity to be ascertained by reference to a plat and survey of John Wilson. The said ¾ of an acre is all on the eastern side of the MtSterling road and opposite The house in which Samuel A Brockway lived. The aforesaid tract of Land, leaving out the excepted piece of ¾ of an acre or thereabout, is hereby conveyed to the said John Green his heirs and assignees, to have and to hold the same for his own proper use forever, and the said William Moore, together with his wife Angelina Moore, who hereby relinquishes her right of dower in and to the land conveyed by this Deed, do Covenant and agree with the said John green his heirs & that they will forever warrant the property herby conveyed.
