This Indenture made this 9th day of August AD Eighteen hundred and 52 between Elisha Moore of the county of Montomery and tstateof Kentucky of the one part and James Moore of the county and state aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth That the said Elisha Moore for and in consideration of the Sum of Three Thousand and eighty dollars to him in hand paid and arranged to his entire satisfaction the receipt of which is hereby fully acknowledged does hereby give grant sell and convey unto the said James Moore a certain Tract or parcel of Land situate and lying in the County and state aforesaid Containing by Survey Eighty eight acres of Land and lying on the Waters of Donaldson Creek and bounded as follows. I Andrew J Stevens Clerk of the court for the county aforesaid do certify that this Deed from Elisha Moore to James Moore was this day produced to me in my Office and acknowledged by the said Elisha Moore to be his act and deed for the purposes there in contained Whereupon said Deed together with this Certificate hath been duly entered of record in my Office Given under my hand this 9th day of August 1852 Att. Note: Notice there is no "wife" mentioned for Elisha as is usual in the transfer of land for that time. srm
