This Indenture made this thirteenth day of Aplin the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighteen between Wm Moore Sen and Margaret his wife of the County of Fayette and state of Kentucky of the one part and Amos Dunham of the County of Montgomery and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said William Moore sen. and Margaret his wife for and in consideration of the sum of ninety six dollars and fifty cents current money of Kentucky ^() to them in hand paid ^ by the sd Amos Dunham the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargined (sic) and sold and by these presents do grant bargin (sic) sell and confirm unto the said Amos Dunham his heirs and assigns all that or parcel of land situate and being in the county of Montgomery and State of Kentucky on the waters of grassalyck (sic) creek and Bounded as follows to wit Beginning at two sugar trees near where Aron Higgins orginall corner Stood At A and extending thence ^ (?) 111? to two buckeyes and white thorn at B. thence N 28? to a honey locust tree at C thence N 57 1/2 West 96 poles to Moores original line at D thence with Moores original line south 70 degrees East 208 poles to Higgins line at B. thence with Hggins (sic) line South four poles to the beginning containing twenty four acres and twenty poles together with all and singular the appertaining premises thereunto belonging or in any wise appurtaining To have and to hold the lnad hereby commanded with the appurtinences (sic) unto the said Amos Dunham his heirs and assigns forever and the said William Moore sen and Margaret his wife for themselves their heirs Executors and administrators the aforesaid tract of land and premises unto the said Amos Dunham his heirs or assigns against ^(?) the claim or claims of ^( themselves Wm Moore and Margaret his wife heirs or assigns) All persons claiming by through or under them do and will forever warrant & defend by these presents, In witness Where of the said Wm Moore and Margaret his (word missing) have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and date first above written Wm Moore sen (seal) Margaret Moore (seal) Acknowledged in presence of William Kemper George Priest James F Moore But it is clearly understood by the parties to this Indenture that should said land be ^(lost by any) prior or better claim the consideration money is to be refunded with out Interest Fayette County sct we John C Richardson and Asa Thompson two of the Justices of the peace of the county aforesaid hereby certify that we examined Mrs. Margaret Moore the wife of William Moore seperate (sic) and apart from her husband and she freely and voluntarily without threat or reward relinquished all her right title and Interst to the within mentioned land and all the appurtinences thereunto belonging to Amos Dunham and his heirs forever given under our hands and seals this 14th day of April 1818 John C Richardson (seal) A Thompson (seal) Montgomery County clers office sct Apl 22 1818 I Hugh Lane Deputy clerk for Micajah harrison Clerk of the county aforesaid do hereby certify that the foregoing Deed of bargin (sic) and sale from Wm Moore sen. and and wife ^(To Amos Dunham) was this day produced to me in the office aforesaid and proven by the oaths William Kemper and George Priest and by virtue thereof and of the certificate hereto annexed the same is duly entered of record H Lane DC This Indenture made this thirteenth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighteen between Wm Moore and Margaret his wife of the county of Fayette and Commonwealth of Kentucky of the one part and Amos Dunham of the County of Montgomery and Commonwealth aforesaid of the other part Winesseth that the said William Moore and Margaret his wife for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and ninety eight Dollars current money of Kentucky to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargined (sic) and sold and by these presents do grant bargin (sic) sell and confirm unto the said Amos Dunham heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land situate and being in the county of Montgomery on the waters Grassalyck (sic) Creek containg (sic) seventy four and a half acres and bounded as follows to wit Beginning at two sugar trees on the east side of a small drain and running N 61 E 59 poles to two small hickories corner to John Brothers and running Thence East 111? poles to two sugar trees corner to Wm Rogers and running S with his line 60 poles to three sugar trees in his line marked as a corner for Wm Camper and running ^(thence S?) 3degrees West 130 poles to an Elm and two sugar trees on the south bounds of Arons run and running thence N down the run and crossing 30 poles to two....
