Indenture made 9 Mar 1822 between Tilman Ray & Elizabeth his wife daughter of 
Newbal Dunn deceased of the state of Virginia ) of the county of Montgomery and 
state of Kentucky of the one part and John Goode Senr. of the county of 
Middlesex and state of Virginia of the other part. Witnesseth that the said 
Tilman Ray and Elizabeth his wife late Elizabeth Dunn one of the heirs and legal 
representatives of said Nebal Dunn deceased late of said county and state of 
Virginia for 50 pounds all that tract of land in Middlesex County, VA which they 
received by descent from the said Newbal Dunn & his wife, by virtue of 
intermarriage of the said Tilman Ray with the said Elizabeth, late Elizabeth 
Dunn, she being entitled to the one equal half of the land herein described with 
land adjacent to the road leading to the ashhill to a branch called "mount 
spring branch" from thence down the branch to said Mill Creek.
