Further, this is only the part of the document appearing on p 465. srm ...from nor against no other person or claim whatsoever, and provided the land lying south of a line running west from the Beginning should at any time be lost then the aforesaid William Reid bids and Obliges himself and his heirs to pay to the said William Reid Junr his heirs or assigns the aforesaid sum of eighty five Dollars without interest and to be liable for nothing more, should the whole land herby conveyed by lost by any other claim, and the said William Reid Junr declares it to be the true intent and meaning of this Indenture that if the land should be lost, he is only to have the sum of eighty five Dollars as aforesaid and nomore and does hereby release and acquit the aforesaid William Reid and his heirs from all claim on account of the aforesaid land should the same be lost by any other claim except the eighty five Dollars aforesaid---In Testimony the aforesaid William Reid hath hereunto set his hand and affixed his seal the day and year above written William Reid Senr (seal) Teste Thos Triplett DC Montgomery County Clers Office Sct. seventh of October eighteen hundred and eleven, This Deed from William Reid to William Reid Junr was acknowledged by said William Reid to his and seal act and deed--and the same is duly entered of record all Thos Triplett DC
