Shirley Apprentice Indenture (Partial): Joseph Whitsitt to Samuel Whitsitt Date: 6 May 1803 Deed Book 2 Page 529 This Indenture mad the 6 day of May in the year of our Lord 1803 and in the Year of the Commonwealth: Joseph Whitsitt of the one part and Samuel Whitsitt of the other part of the county of Montgomery Witnesseth that hereby these presents doth bind put place his sons James and Levay Whitsitt to be in a prentices to the said Samuel Whitsett and the said James and Leavy is an apprentice to him until they arrive to the age of 21 Years whitch (sic)will be in the year 18018 (sic) the Said Joseph Whitsett doth covenant and agree to and with the Said Samuel Whitsitt that Said James & Levy Shall will and faithfully Serve in all Suth (sic) Lawful business as the Said Samuel Whitsitt Shall p7ut them unto and the said James & Levy Shall obediently behave themselves toward their Master and the Said Samuel Whitsitt Shall will and truly instruct the Same, James & Levy in the art of farming work and that the said ....
