Mr Welch is survived by his widow, Mrs. Henrietta Ewan Welch, and one grand-daughter. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Howard S. Stephenson, were held at the grave in Machpelah Cemetery Tuesday afternoon at 2;30 o'clock, and the interment followed in the family lot. Mr. Welch was 80 years of age, and was a native of Powell county. He seved one term as Sheriff and made an excellent official. Mr. Welch was an honorable, upright, clean citizen, of the very highest integrity and was very popular with all who knew him. No better man ever lived than Albert Welch and Heaven has been enriched by the entrance of this good man within its gates, and the world is much poorer by his going away. We extend our sympathy to the sorrowing widow and other relatives.
