Unknown - Family Files 1973
Byrd, Roy, 85, of the Van Thompson Rd., Mt. Sterling, died at 11:30 am Thursday 
at his home after a long illness.  He was a native of Montgomery County, a son 
of the late Almanza and Virginia Trimble Byrd, a member of the Presbyterian 
Church and a retired farmer.  Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. J.E. Allander, 
Montgomery County, and Mrs. D.A. Sisk, Lexington; five grandchildren; six great 
grandchildren.  Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Eastin-Richey 
Funeral Home, Mt. Sterling by Rev. Monroe Grant.  Burial will be in Machphelah 
Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 pm today.
