Lawson Davis, 60, local agent for Greyhound Bus Lines, died at 8 p.m. Tuesday at
his home on Nevada Avenue following a heart condition for some time.

Mr. Davis had been connected with Greyhound for the past five years. Prior to
that he was with Central Kentucky Gas Company for around 12 years and at one
time was with Wheeler Funiture Company.

A native of Montgomery County, he was a member of Watson Lodge, I.O.O.F., the
First Baptist Church and many friends throughout this area.

 He was a son of the late William B. and Sarah Ball Davis.

Survivors are his wife. Mrs. Elizabeth Reid Davis; a daughter, Mrs. William
Henson; a son Bobby Davis; two sisters, Mrs. Alta Payne and Mrs. Fannie
Carrington; two brothers, Cecil Davis and Walter Davis and four grandchildren.

Services will be conducted by the Rev. William Curl and the Rev. Don Yeager at
1:30 p.m. Friday at the Eastin-Richey Funeral Home,. Burial will be in Machpelah
Cemetery. Active bearers are Don McCarty, William Pennebaker, Carl Davis, Eddie
Dishon, Gene Davis, Ray Barker, Stanley Ishmael and Shelby Kendall. Honorary
bearers are Joe Highley, R.A. Price, Kenneth Jones, John Chandler, J. C.
Ishmael, Dee Osborne, J. T. Sutherland and Edgar Doggett.
