Sterling, Ky, March 12-Jesse P. Highland, 78, prominent , Montgomery County farmer and banker , died at 8:15 a.m. today at the Mary Chiles Hospital where he had been a patient for the past 10 days. He was a vice president of the Traders National Bank and a member of the Montgomery County Farm Bureau and the Somerset Christian Church. Born in this county, he was a son of the late James and Nannie Ferguson Highland. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dessie S Highland; a sister Mrs. L.W.Lee , Montgomery County and a brother Charles D. Highland, Mt. Sterling. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at his home, Hillcrest Farm, on the Maysville Road by Dr.C.L.Pyatt, Dr.J.E. Moss and the Rev. J. P. Riggins. Burial will be in Machpelah Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Vance Evans, Orville Jacobs, Arthur Hedges, Bascom Gilvin, Dr. G. M. Horton and Henry H. Bramblet. Honorary bearers will be Frank Boyd, Dr. W. B. Robinson, J. Oldham Greene, R. W. Frame, Charles Hainline, E. E. Curtis, Ray Sivis, John Ford, J. C. Ishmael and Bedford Henry. The body will be removed to the residence Sunday morning from the Eastin-Richey funeral Home.
