Mt Sterling Avocate
              Retired Farmer Passes Monday
   Leslie R. Jones age 65, retired farmer died Monday in a Lexington 
Hospital,following a long illness.
  A native of Rowan County, he was a member of the North Middletown Christian 
Church and had many friends through this section of the state.
   Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Emma Lee Fortune Jones,; One daughter Mrs. 
Dorothy Mae Jones (Clark) Shrout, four sons Gilbert T. Jones, Michigan, Jr. 
Jones and Leslie Jones of Indianapoiis, In. and Vernon Jones of Mt. Sterling, 
Ky.,; a brother Frank Jones of Lexington, Ky., and a half brother William 
Cooper of Dayton Ohio and three grandchildren.
   Services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Eastin- Richey Funeral Home 
with buriel in the Machpeliah Cemetery
