Obit Mt. Sterling Avocate  Oct. 20, 1955
                    Leslie Rawleigh Jones

Leslie Jones, age 65 retired farmer died Monday at the Lexington hospital 
following a long illness.
  A native of Rowan County, he was a member of the North Middletown Christian 
Church and had many friends through out this section of the state.
  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Emma Lee Jones , one daughter  Mrs. Clark 
Shrout, Sharpsburg,; four sons  J.R. Jones and Leslie Jones, Jr. of 
Ondianapolis, Ind.  and Vernon Jones, Mt. Sterling, Gilbert Jones, Mt 
Sterling, a brother Frank Jones, lexington,  a half-brother William Cooper of 
Dayton, Ohio and three grandchildren.
  Services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Eastin-Ritchey funeral home 
with burial in the Machpeliah Cemetery,
