A native of Bath County, he was a veteran of World War 1 and a deacon in the Peyton Lick Christian Church. survivors are two half-brothers, Miller McClain, Pompano Beach Fla., and Roy McClain, Lexington, and several cousins. Services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday by the Rev. Cliff Garris at the Eastin-Richey Funeral Home. Burial was in the North Middletown Cemetery. Bearers were James Hedges, Shelby Crouch, Reid Prather, Elmer Turner, William Wagoner, Charlie Leggett and Charlie and Sobert Browning.
