I do therefore make and publish this my last will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say first and principaly I commit my soul into the hands of Allmighty God and my body to the earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter mentioned and after my just debts and burial expences are paid I desire and bequeath as follows: Item. I give and bequeath unto my son Thomas Davis Junior Legal Heirs one negro Girl named Beck aged fourteen years. Its my will and desire that said Negro Beck and all her offspring shall be set free from all bondage at forty years of age. Item. I give and bequeath unto my son Lamach Davis One negro Girl named Maryam aged Eighteen. Its my Will and desire that the above named Maryam and all her offspring shall be free at the age of Forty. I also give and bequeath unto my son Lamach Davis one feather bed which he is to have when called for. Item. I give & bequeath unto my daughter Eleoner Davis one negro Boy named George aged five years and one negro Girl named Cass aged three years; and one sorrell Horse colt one year old. It is also my Will and desire that negro George and negro Cass and all her offspring shall be free from all bondage at forty years of age. Item. I give and bequeath unto my son Rezin Davis one negro Boy named Aaron aged eight years. Also one negro named Isaac aged two years. Also one negro Girl named Jude aged one year, and it is my will and desire that negro Aaron and negro Jude and Jude's offspring shall be free from all bondage at forty years of age. Item. I give and bequeath unto Effy Lyon daughter to John Lyon and Sarah Lyon sixty pounds in property at cash price, viz my son Thomas Davis to pay her ten pounds and my son Lamach Davis to pay her ten pounds and my daughter Eleoner Davis to pay her ten pounds and my son Rezin Davis to pay her Thirty pounds all to be paid to the above named Effy Lyon at my death in property at cash price by the above named Thomas Davis and Lamach Davis and Eleoner Davis and Rezin Davis their certain portions as above mentioned out of the property left them and the sixty pounds to be collected by my executor hereafter mentioned and applyed to the best use he can for income and to be paid principle and income to said Effy Lyon when she comes to Lawful age by my Executor. Item. It is also my will and desire that negro Isaac Senior aged forty and negro Clear aged Thirty Eight shall be free from all bondage at my death. Item. All the ballance of my property not mentioned in this my last will and Testament to be equally divided amongst my five children Viz my Daughter Sary Lyon, and my son Thomas Davis and my son Lamach Davis and my daughter Eleoner Davis and my son Rezin Davis. Item. I do also constitute & appoint my Nephew Jeremiah Davis to be sole Executor of this last my last will and Testament revoking and annulling all former wills by me heretofore made Ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and Testament. In Testimony whereof I have here unto set my hand and affixed my seal this nineteenth day of February Ano Domini One thousand Eight hundred and One. Thomas Davis Signed sealed published and delivered by Thomas Davis for the above named Testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request and his presence have subscribed our names as witness thereto. Teste. J. Crawford, Richard Hayes, Robt. C. Nicholas Montgomery County Sct. March Court 1801 This last Will and Testament of Thomas Davis deceased was presented in Court by Jeremiah Davis the executor therein named who made oath thereto according to Law and the same being proved by the oaths of James Crawford and Richard Hayes witnesses thereto subscribed and Ordered to be Recorded and on the motion of the said Executor who entered into bond with John Ireland, Reason Davis and Thomas Davis his securities in the penal sum of two hundred pounds comitioned for his due and faithful administration of the said Estate a certificate is Granted him for obtaining a probate therof in due form.
