In the Name of god Amen I William Nelson seignior of Montgomery County 
Kentucky considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound 
mind and Memory do make and publish this my last will and Testament in 
manner & form following (to wit) First I give and bequeath unto my beloved 
wife Polly Nelson one equal third of all the real and personal property 
of which I may be possessed at my Death during her natural life.*********** 
of my property at my Death should be equally divided between my five 
Children (namely) Margaret Harrow, James I Nelson, William Nelson, 
Polly Farrow, and Jinny Foster without having any regard to what I have 
here to?? Given them  It is further my will and desire that my slaves 
shall be freed or immancipated as follallows Billy at the death of myself 
and wife and in case she should not be able to maintain herself comfortably 
my children above named shall equally and annually contribute for her support 
during her life Jacob and Bob I wish to be liberated on the twenty fifth of 
December one thousand eight hundred and thirty four Jerry on the 17th of 
December one thousand eight hundred & thirty nine Milton on the 21st December 
one thousand eight hundred and forty one George on the 25th of December one 
thousand eight hundred & forty five Fanny on the 26th of April one thousand 
eight hundred & forty nine I hereby appoint my two sons James I Nelson and 
William nelson Executors of this my last will and Testament herby revoking 
all former wills by me made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand 
this day of Septembe (sic) 1830 William Nelson
Signed Sealed published and declared by the above named William Nelson to 
be his Last Will and Testament in the presents of us who have hereunto 
subscribed our names as Witnesses in the presents of the Testator
