Potter Funeral Home
Donald Ray Elam of Oney Road, West Liberty, KY, passed away Tuesday, November 
18, 2008, at the age of 79 years, 6 months, and 5 days. He was born May 14, 
1929in Morgan County, KY, a son of the late Chester and Beulah Ferguson Elam. 
He was a retired mechanic. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles 
Elam and three sisters, Dorothy Elam, Esther Gilliam and Frances Munson. 

He is survived by his wife, Renella Oney Elam, West Liberty, KY; one son, 
Donnie & Lora Elam, West Liberty, KY; two daughters, Gail & Dale Dewitt, West 
Liberty, KY; Vickie Stevens, West Liberty, KY; five grandchildren, Angie 
Gibbs, Sara & Tim Mays, Brandon Elam, Heather Whisman, Kyle Stevens; and one 
sister, Ruth Elam, West Liberty, KY. 

Funeral Service 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 21, 2008 at the Potter Funeral 
Home Chapel with Rev. James Allen officiating. Burial in the Elam Cemetery, 
West Liberty, KY. Visitation 6:00 p.m. Thursday, November 20, 2008 at the 
Potter Funeral Home.
