She resided in White Oak Kentucky with her parents until her marriage to James Grover Frederick in West Liberty, KY on June 30, 1942. Shortly after their marriage they were parted by World War II. Upon the return of James Grover Frederick on January 17, 1946 they began their family life. Their first, born James Denzil arrived on November 4, 1946, followed by Lance Barrett on November 2, 1947, Constance Elaine, February 11, 1949, Timothy Lee, January 27, 1952 and Danita Joleen and Juanita Coleen on March 19, 1955. She was preceded in death by her one son Timothy Lee, her parents and both her sisters, Leberta May Potter and Linda Sharon May Hopkins. Working side by side with her husband, she and Grover began a business, FREDERICK & MAY LUMBER and CONSTRUCTION COMPANY in 1948. The Company dealing in hard woods and hardware along with large construction projects has done business all over the state of Kentucky and surrounding states. Juanita and Grover built a highly respected business that employed hundreds of people in the region and beyond. She was a member of the Lacy Creek Church of Christ, Eastern Star, the Morgan County Historical Society and Daughters of the American Revolution. It was stated in an article written by Ray Hornback in a lumber related trade journal that "Grover and Juanita are an unusual couple. They have raised a splendid family and have built a highly successful business, which is widely respected in their corner of the world. They have made the Frederick and May Lumber and Construction Company an institution in Eastern Kentucky. They have been a great force for good. And in doing so, they have been a one-of-a-kind couple who have built a business empire unlikely to be duplicated in the future."
