Licking Valley Courier 8-17-1950
  Mrs.Cordelia Maxey McGuire,about 72, died at home at Yocum tuesday following a long illness.
  Funeral services were held at the residence Wednesday at 2:00 p.m.  with the Rev. Harlen Murphy 
officiating, assisted by the Rev. M.B. Whitt,  burial was made in a nearby cemetery.
   She was a daughter of Raney and Jo Ann Elam Maxey. Mrs McGuire had been the Yocum 
correspondent to the Licking Valley Courier for many years.
    Surviving are the husband, R.B. McGuire, Yocum: one son, Ollie McGuire of Middletown, two daughters, Mrs.
Elsie Lewis of Middletown and Mrs. Anna Caskey of Yocum and four grandchilden
