Alcock of the County of Muhlenberg and State of Kentucky am held and firmly bound unto Jeremiah Murphey of the State of Tennessee in the penalty of five hundred dollars Kentucky Currency, the payment of which will and truly to be made to the said Murphey, his Heirs and Assigns. I bind myself, my Heirs, Executors and Administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents. Seald with my seal and dated this 12th day of May 1800. The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the said Richard N. Alcock hath this day sold unto the said Jeremiah Murphey all my right & title which I the said Alcock and my Heirs have to all that part of the estate of Harris Murphey deceased which I the said Alcock have by entermarring with Sarah Murphey late widow of Thomas Murphey deceased and I the said Alcock do covenant to and with the said Murphey that I will Indemnify and save harmless the said Jeremiah Murphey from all suits and molestations which may accrue in any manner whatsoever.
