Witnesseth that the said George Matthews doth Bargain sell alian & grant unto the said Henry Rhoads a certain tract or parcel of Land containing five hundred and four acres and twenty-nine poles lying in the State of Kentucky and County of Logan, being part of George Matthews military survey of four thousand acres, joining McClanahan's survey on the west side, beginning at a white oak and poplar standing on McClanahan's line forty six poles South Twenty Degrees west of his most northerly corner running from thence North seventy degrees, West one hundred and fifty eight poles and a half to a Dogwood and black Oak thence south Twenty Degrees, west two hundred and eight poles to a Witch Hazle and Dogwood thence North seventy degrees, west thirty two poles to a hickory thence south twenty degrees, west two hundred fifty poles to a black Oak and white Oak thence South seventy degrees, east one hundred ninety and a half poles to an Elue(?) and Hickory thence North twenty degrees, east five hundred and fifty eight poles to the beginning. the said tract of land to have and to hold with all its appertinances to him the said Henry Rhoads, his Heirs and Assigns for the consideration of One hundred pounds to the said George Matthews in hand paid, the receipt where of is hereby acknowledged and the said George Matthews doth covenant to & agree to warrant and Defend the said Tract or parcel of land to him the said Henry Rhoads his Heirs and Administrators and assigns against him the said George Matthews his Heirs, Administrators and assigns for ever.
